We had the opportunity to design and build the stand for the NL Lounge at the Aquatech Exhibition, as part of the Dutch Pavilion. We created a comfortable space where new business connections could be made while visitors enjoyed a cup of coffee. Additionally, there was space for engaging presentations on innovations within the field.
Aquatech Amsterdam is the world’s leading trade fair for process water, drinking water, and wastewater. For the NL Lounge, we sought a distinctive yet sustainable solution for the stand design. We created an accessible theater while maintaining ample space for networking. The stand was designed with a unique appearance that formed a cohesive unit with NWP and Water Alliance, strengthening the presence of all three parties. To achieve this, we built a freestanding base structure made of square tubes, from which towers and walls were formed. This approach made the use of rigging unnecessary, keeping the design clean and efficient.
The result was a stand with a uniform appearance that caught the attention of passersby, drawing them in out of curiosity. The design focused on lowering the threshold, making the stand feel inviting and accessible to everyone. It became clear that the stand attracted significant attention, with visitor numbers during the exhibition days exceeding expectations.
